Elizabeth was born outside of Hartford, Connecticut. She attended Boston College as an undergraduate and then worked as an organic chemist for Pfizer for a year before attending medical school at the University of Connecticut. She and her new husband are avid Red Sox fans but are still having lots of fun in New York City.
Why triple board? I wanted to find a program that would train me to think about and care for children in the most complete way. I believe that mental illness can be potentially devastating because it affects one's ability to fully experience life. I'm hoping to work with children and families to provide them with treatment for medical illness, and the coping skills to lead a productive, successful life. I feel triple board is the best training for this.
Best experience in residency : It's a three way tie; intubating a 24-week, 600 gram baby; parents taking pictures of their newborn and "his doctor;" and of course, the Red Sox winning the World Series!! |
