Graduate Medical Education

The Mount Sinai School of Medicine Consortium for Graduate Medical Education, consisting of 13 institutions located in New York and New Jersey, sponsors more than 140 residency programs in virtually every specialty of medicine, enrolling in the aggregate more than 2,000 house staff. Consortium educational activities provided to all house staff, regardless of home institution or specialty.

Program Overview

The Fellowship is set in The Mount Sinai Hospital, a tertiary-care university hospital in Manhattan. Our goal is to provide extensive hands-on training in the different imaging modalities currently used in vascular and interventional radiology. The great strength of Mount Sinai's program is the diverse nature of the clinical material encountered, which provides ample opportunity for fellows to develop broad experience. Vascular intervention includes the usual peripheral and visceral procedures as well as rotations to the O.R. for hands-on stent-graft experience.

There are many research opportunities in the Department, and our fellows are encouraged to participate.

The Interventional Service continues to grow and maintain institutional support. Five staff members provide full-time support for the fellows.
