Research Overview
The Compulsive and Impulsive Disorders Program is a renowned comprehensive program dedicated to research in obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders and impulse control spectrum disorders. As experts in this field, we provide diagnosis, treatment, brain imaging and cognitive testing to participants, with the objective of enhancing our understanding of these disabling disorders. Our research aims at developing more effective treatments to improve the quality of life of those suffering from disorders such as obsessive compulsive disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, pathological gambling, binge eating, borderline personality disorder, and other related conditions. Research studies are conducted by experienced research staff of Mount Sinai School of Medicine, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and research assistants.
