The Microarray SRF is a newly developing highly automated Microarray technology center. We provide consultation, instruction, assistance and expertise for the high-throughput gene screening and gene expression profiling. The facility supports both widely used microarray systems-DNA spotted glass array and Affymetrix GeneChip nucleotide array. The Microarray SRF houses a 15K sequence-verified fetus mouse library from NI , a 40K sequence-verified IMAGE human library from Res Gen, a Tetrad Thermal Cycler and a liquid-handling robot. We currently have a lab-sized arrayer and scanner, and newly purchased facility-sized arrayer. The facility also houses an Agilent Bioanalyzer and a complete Affymetrix GeneChip system, including a hybridization oven, automated fluid station, chip reader and computer workstation with data analysis software package. The facility's current capabilities include micro-RNA verification, full or partial service on Affymetrix GeneChips. We provide spotted DNA arrays on glass slides including mouse and human test slides and mouse 1K custom array. The facility also supports custom printing projects, e.g. cherry-picking and printing subset of gene arrays, designing and printing arrays from custom's libraries, printing peptide arrays, etc. We are currently working on printing 15K mouse high-density arrays.
