The Microscopy SRF provides equipment, instruction and expertise for the microscopic examination of cells and tissues. Capabilities include brightfield, confocal, multiphoton, live cell, and electron microscopy. The facility also has a number of software packages for image analysis including Metamorph and Volocity.

Training is required for all users and will be provided by qualified facility staff members only. If you would like to setup an appointment, please read the following instructions:

Acknowledgment

Users who publish data obtained from equipment in the confocal laser microscopy core facility should include the following acknowledgment:

Confocal laser scanning microscopy was performed at the MSSM-Microscopy Shared Resource Facility, supported with funding from NIH-NCI shared resources grant (5R24 CA095823-04), NSF Major Research Instrumentation grant (DBI-9724504) and NIH shared instrumentation grant (1 S10 RR0 9145-01).

N.B. A similar statement should be made for published data obtained from the image analysis/volume rendering software/equipment.
