Isolated Intestine Transplant
Tom Moore
Isolated Intestine
When the liver and other organs function near normally and a patient has intestinal failure alone, the isolated small intestine can be transplanted.

Liver-Intestine
When liver failure is also present, a combined liver-intestinal transplant must be performed. Both organs are removed from a single donor.
