To begin the referral process, your physician should contact our office at (212) 241-3693. During this initial call, your physician will discuss your condition and update us on what testing has already been done in order to prevent unnecessary duplication. (Patients interested in contacting our office on their own behalf should use our main telephone number, (212) 241-8035). Following this initial call, our Insurance Coordinator will begin the process of getting the insurance clearance necessary for you to begin your evaluation here at Mount Sinai and will contact you directly. Following approval by your insurance carrier, you will be contacted by our New Patient Referral Coordinator who will schedule your first appointment. It is important that you bring a copy of your medical history with you on your first visit or that your physician forward it to us on your behalf.
