Transplantation for Liver Tumors | Research

Liver transplantation, although a recognized treatment for patients with end stage liver disease, is still an evolving field. In many cases, a liver transplant is a treatment and not a cure for liver disease. Research into new ways to diagnose and treat liver disease continues in the form of various research protocols and studies and as a center, we are actively involved with many research proposals. We encourage our patients to participate in these studies because there are a number of advantages to involvement in a research protocol. Most significant among these are access to the newest technology and medications; free drug supplies; some free medical exams and testing; close follow-up; and assurance that the Center is current with changes in the field.
