Echocardiology/Ultrasound Interest GroupOur aim is to introduce Mount Sinai students to the use of ultrasonography in varied practices with particular focus on echocardiography. Our group is interested in providing students with a hands-on approach to ultrasound and showing students how a non-invasive, inexpensive methodology can yield a wealth of information about patients' health and show pathology. We work with a group of enthusiastic physicians, namely Dr. Goldman and Dr. Croft, who are committed to teaching and exciting students' curiosity. By having such dedicated professionals who are truly excited about their field, our hope is to correlate a lot of the anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology from the first two-years with this standard-of-care diagnostic technique that is so commonly used once students enter the third year. We hope to branch this group outwards to other practices such as GI and OB/GYN. For more information, contact studentc@mssm.edu. |
