Sports Medicine Interest Group

The Sports Medicine Interest Group aims to promote medical student awareness of the diverse career opportunities available in the field. We will have guest speakers who participate in sports medicine from a variety of medical specialties – rehabilitation medicine, orthopaedics, family medicine – who will discuss the options available for pursuing a career in sports medicine, lifestyles, and preparation for residencies. Clinics on subjects such as athletic taping will give medical students some helpful skills to fuel their interests in the field. The group aims to provide students with the knowledge that there are many paths to sports medicine, and will provide students with the opportunity to meet possible mentors from many different fields.
