Students for Equal Opportunity in Medicine (SEOM)

Students for Equal Opportunity in Medicine (SEOM) is an umbrella organization for the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) and the Boricua/Latino Health Organization (BLHO). Together, we represent the concerns of minority medical students. SEOM works to promote the recruitment and retention of minority students in the health professions at Mount Sinai and at large. During the school year, SEOM sponsors several events for the student body and the faculty of Mount Sinai, such as the multicultural dinner and auction, the community health fair, poetry night, and speakers.
