Planned Gifts

What is a planned gift? Planned gifts enable you to support the Ruth J. and Maxwell Hauser and Harriet and Arthur H. Aufses, Jr., M.D., Department of Surgery while enjoying significant tax benefits and often providing you with a very attractive stream of income. Such gifts help ensure that our work at Mount Sinai will be financially sound for years to come.

The following are some popular planned gifts:

There are numerous naming and endowment opportunities, as well as opportunities for recognition. We encourage you to contact our planned giving staff to help you explore meaningful ways to structure a legacy to Mount Sinai. In addition, when you notify us that you have provided for Mount Sinai in your estate plan, you become a member of The 1852 Society of Mount Sinai.

Here is sample bequest language:

I hereby give to Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University, a New York not-for-profit corporation located at One Gustave L. Levy Place, New York, NY 10029, the sum of $_______ [or percent of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate] to be used for the benefit of the Ruth J. and Maxwell Hauser and Harriet and Arthur H. Aufses, Jr., M.D., Department of Surgery.

It is important to use the proper bequest language to ensure that your gift is used for the purpose you intend.
