Recurring Activities

Women's Support Group

Support and Info-share for Women with Brain Injuries (TBI, stroke, aneurysm, AVM, encephalopathy). Meets the last Monday of the month, from 4:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. Meetings are held at at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, Annenberg Building, Fifth Floor, Dining Room C. Some recent topics: fatigue, depression, memory and concentration, sexuality, working, weight control, sleep disturbances, family and relationship issues, cognitive reserve, financial management and impulsivity.

Rehab Fair

The Annual Rehab Fair is held yearly at The Mount Sinai Hospital, in the Annenberg West Lobby, on Madison Avenue and 100th Street. This event is for individuals with brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other disabilities, as well as for their friends and families. Information about advocacy groups, wellness, nutrition, research, transportation, and recreation will be presented. Equipment vendors also exhibit the latest technology. Van conversions and accessible modifications will be demonstrated in the courtyard. The New York TBI Model System, the Mount Sinai Spinal Cord Injury Model System, and the Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Center co-sponsor the fair.
