The Flow Cytometry SRF provides instrumentation and expertise for automated cytofluorimetric analysis and the sterile sorting of specific cell types. The equipment of this facility is state-of-the-art; it consists of three high speed cell sorters: MoFlo (Dako-Cytomation), Vantage (Becton & Dickinson) and Influx (Cytopeia-BD) equipped with three lasers and a single deposition unit; three analytical flow cytometers: FACScan and FACScalibur with CellQuest software and a state-of-the-art 5 laser-LSR II with Diva software (all from BD), for up to 12-color analysis. The LSR II is also equipped with High Throughput Sampler, which allows high speed and automated sample acquisition from microtiter plates.

New users to the facility have to attend to training sessions to get familiar with the equipment, cleaning procedures and data management. This allows for use of the equipment without assistance or during off hours.

PLEASE NOTE: Minimum fee of 1/2 hour is charged for the use of the FACScan and FACScalibur. Sign up time is charged whether or not it is used unless a replacement user is found. Users who cancel an appointment less than 24 hours in advance are subject to the full charge of the scheduled time.

CANCELATION POLICY: A fee of 50% of the scheduled time is charged for cancellations between 24 and 72 hours prior to the scheduled time. A fee of 100% is charged when the cancellation occurs less than 24 hours of the scheduled time.
