The Pediatrics Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship at The Mount Sinai Hospital is dedicated to training academic pediatric gastroenterologists. Our graduates are excellent clinicians––skilled in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
Our fellowship is a three-year program. The first year focuses on outpatient and inpatient care. The fellowship curriculum includes clinical training in inpatient and outpatient settings, procedural training and an in-depth didactic syllabus all which can be tailored for a fellow's career path. In all outpatient and inpatient services, trainees are closely supervised by members of the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology. The second and third years emphasize research - preparing fellows for publication in a leading journal. Our fellows are engaged in cutting edge clinical, basic science and translational research mentored by leaders in the fields of GI and hepatology. Serving the diverse metropolitan area of New York City, we are committed to fostering an inclusive community and patient care experience for our faculty, trainees and patients.
