Mount Sinai Beth Israel and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai

As a service to our residents and fellows, Mount Sinai Beth Israel and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai maintains an apartment building on the lower eastside of Manhattan.

Housing offers are guaranteed to new incoming interns, residents, and fellows, in a Category 1 ACGME-accredited program. The order in which applicants are assigned to available apartments is determined by the Mount Sinai Health System Lottery. The occupancy group with a guarantee of housing is assigned first, in the order set by the lottery.

Unfurnished studio and 1-bedroom apartments in the housing of Mount Sinai Beth Israel and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai will be offered with assignment based on apartment availability in the order set by the lottery process. Couples and families requesting a larger size apartment may apply for Mount Sinai West housing where an offer will be made based on apartment availability and the order set by the lottery process.

House Staff may also apply for housing through the Preferred Employer Programs offered by Ogden Cap Properties, LLC, and Stuyvesant Town.  Victoria Rong Kennedy of real estate company Corcoran will also offer a discounted commission rate of 12 percent of the first year's rent as brokerage fee, with a 20 percent discount to Mount Sinai Health System employees. She can be reached via e-mail or at 917-627-5003.

Housing applications are accepted electronically, beginning a few days after the results of Match Day have been announced. The specific open date and deadline for the newly hired to submit a housing application will be provided via an online checklist from the Office of Graduate Medical Education. All applications received after the deadline will be handled on a first come, first serve basis, after processing those applications received by the deadline.
