Training Arcade

24/7 Access after Orientation 

The Training Arcade, room 8G40 Suite A, houses our VR simulators. By completing our user orientation, either in person or on https://peak.mountsinai.org, you will be able to access this room 24/7 via a MSW ID card reader.

Electronic Attendance

To comply with our accreditation standards, the Center for Advanced Medical Simulation (CAMS) keeps records of use for the simulation arcade. Please scan the posted QR code and complete the attendance form every time you use the arcade.

Arcade Housekeeping Policies

  • Do not bring food and drink into the arcade.
  • Do not place or rest any liquids on the simulators.
  • After using the simulator, please log out of your session.
  • Please ensure front door is secure after entering and prior to leaving the arcade.
  • Activities in the arcade may be video recorded. Please conduct yourself in a professional manner.

Reserving Time

The arcade is available 24/7 via swipe access. To reserve a time slot, please email us with  your request. Make sure to include the date, time needed, simulator, and number of participants. We do our best to accommodate every request.

Troubleshooting

All simulators in the arcade run on PCs. If the program is not responding, you can try to troubleshoot by restarting the simulator. Please do not open or disassemble any simulators.

If you are unsure how to use the simulator, please refer to the arcade user guide. The user guide is posted on the wall next to each simulator.

If the problem persists, or you have any questions, please contact the Simulation Operations Manager.

COVID-19 Guidelines

The Center for Advanced Medical Simulation conducts a comprehensive review of its safety and capacity guidelines. These guidelines are in line with Mount Sinai Health System’s COVID-19 policies and ensure consistency in our shared responsibility to promote a safe environment for our learners, faculty, and staff. Guidelines include:

  • Please hand sanitize prior to entering and exiting the arcade.
  • Please wear a mask at all times while in the arcade.
